Bronze ?– Track World Cup Manchester

Bronze ?– Track World Cup Manchester Yesterday I won the bronze medal in the omnium at the second World Cup of the 2017/18 track season. I started out with a 2nd place in the scracth, nice to get a good start after I messed up the scracth race in Poland last week. In the tempo race I got 3rd. And in the elimination I got 3rd as well. Before the final points race I was ranked 3rd with 110 points. Archibald (GBR) had 112 and Valente (USA) had 118. I had a 18points advantage down to fourth place. But everything can happen in the points race and I was ready to do my best. I tried with what I had to gain points and get closer to silver/gold but both Archibald and Valente were stronger than me today, and I am satisfied to end up with the bronze medal. Before these two first World Cups in Pruszkow and Manchester I had never been on the World Cup podium, now I have twice! It makes me happy and proud to see my development. Now I will take some off-season and go on vacation, but afterwards I will get back to the hard work. I am dreaming of taking a step or two up the podium one day ? Thank you Team Danmark, Boels Dolmans Cycling Team, our mechanic Mads, our soigneurs Amund & Basti, my coach Martin and Casper who guided me well trough this omnium.
